With the growth of surveillance technologies and the corresponding growth of surveillance practices, there is mounting concern and resistance from various quarters. The arts community has a long history of participating in and at times leading the struggle for individual freedom and human dignity so it is not surprising that they have been involved in efforts to protest the surveillance movement.
