Quick Bagels

Ingredients

2 cups Self-rising Flour
2 cups Non-Fat Plain Greek Yogurt
1 Egg
1 pinch Sea Salt
1 tsp Water

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.

Place parchment paper lightly-coated with cooking spray on a baking sheet.

Combine flour and yogurt in a large bowl until the mixture clumps as a lumpy dough.

Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead by hand for about 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and shape each into a ball. (Divide into fewer parts for larger bagels.)

Flatten balls into circles and use thumb to make a hole in the center. Pull and stretch until the dough is in uniform size rings and place rings on the baking sheet.

Whisk together the egg, water, and salt until the mixture is a smooth consistency.

Brush the egg wash mixture over the tops of the bagels and sprinkle other toppings if desired.

Bake for 20 minutes, rotating the baking sheet halfway through.

Remove from oven, increase oven temperature to 450 degrees, and return bagels to oven for 3 to 4 minutes until the tops have browned.

Remove from oven and place on rack to cool.
