Ingredients
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 cup carrot (peeled and diced)
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 3 cup diced small golden potatoes
- 4 cloves of garlic minced
- 1 1/2 cups cooked ham diced
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 3 cups milk
Instructions
- Heat the butter In a pot over medium heat
- Sauce the onion, carrots, and celery until they begin to soften (about 5 minutes)
3. Add the ham and potatoes, cook for 2 minutes, then add the garlic and sauté about 30 seconds.
4. Mix the flour through and cook for 2 minutes.
5. Stir in stock and mix all ingredients and bring to a boil until for 10-12 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
6. Reduce heat to medium-low, add the milk and stir about 5 minutes until thickened.
7. Add salt and pepper as needed.
