For those of us interested in self-directed learning and project-based learning, the closing of schools due to the pandemic provides an ideal opportunity for students to engage in major projects. Such conditions are a test for the independent capacities of students. The “World’s Greatest Skateboarding Quarantine Project” shown in the video above is a nice example and an inspiring antidote to the sad stories of students lost in zoom sessions and worksheets.
