Writing in Mashable, Jack Morse explains the many ways in which your car is collecting data about you. With modern automobiles more and more reliant on computerized systems to operate they often have many CPUs, WiFi connections, and Bluetooth throughout. These systems gather data on how and where you drive. Connecting your phone to your car entertainment system opens additional possibilities for accessing data about you. With most new cars adding capabilities for data gathering and communications, the only way to avoid all of this may be to keep or purchase an older model.
